Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing tax practice. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, managing client relationships, conducting tax research, and identifying tax planning opportunities while working closely with firm leadership.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, S Corporations, and trusts
• Manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish
• Conduct tax research and stay current on changing tax laws
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax filings, planning strategies, and recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and collaborate with partners on implementation
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Work closely with tax and bookkeeping teams to deliver exceptional client service
• Mentor junior team members as needed
• Assist with process improvements as the firm continues to grow

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience in a CPA firm required
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns required
• Experience with corporations, partnerships, and S Corporations required
• CPA license preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Standard 40-hour workweek outside of tax season
• Approximately 55-hour workweeks during tax season with additional PTO earned for overtime hours
