Procurement Contracts Specialist

Job Description The City of Camas Finance Department is seeking a qualified Procurement Contracts Specialist to support citywide procurement operations. Hours: Monday‑Friday 8 am–5 pm, with up to two remote days per week. The position is represented by the Camas Public Employees' Association and offers a full benefits package. Responsibilities Administer and manage contracts throughout the procurement lifecycle. Ensure compliance with policies, best practices, and legal requirements. Review, draft, and process formal and informal bidding documents, RFPs, and qualifications‑based selections. Provide expert technical assistance and collaborative support to internal city staff and external contractors. Support efficient, transparent, and effective procurement and contracting operations across the city. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Management, Legal Studies, or related field. At least two years of experience in procurement or purchasing with related legal terminology. Familiarity with e‑procurement and contract management preferred. Washington State public sector experience preferred. APWA Contract Administration Committee (CAEC) certification or equivalent. Desired Attributes Proactive, positive attitude and initiative. Flexibility to work non‑standard hours as needed.
