Weekend Float Direct Support Professional (Float DSP)Earn $22/hour as a Weekend Float Direct Support Professional (Float DSP) with Living Well!What is a Float Direct Support Professional?Our Float Direct Support Professionals provide staffing support to the organization; they are adaptable and flexible and will have the skill set to be able to work across our program sites. Float DSP's will be scheduled for 40 hours/week based on the openings within our organization in a combination of some pre-schedule shifts and some on-call shifts.A Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) at Living Well Disability Services provides assistance and support to people to live well. This includes:Assisting people in personal cares such as eating, brushing their teeth, showering, etc.Supporting people to participate in the activities they enjoy... getting a cup of coffee, going for a walk, going to a movie or even a sporting event!Creating a welcoming home for people by keeping each persons home clean, preparing nutritious meals, and having a positive and supportive attitude with each person served and your teammates.Role modeling positive interactions and supporting people to have meaningful relationshipsDocumenting on the services provided each day in the electronic (computer based) documentation systemWhere and when will I work?Weekend Float Direct Support Professionals must be available to work a flexible schedule and be available between the hours of 6:00 am – 10:00 pm. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). As much as possible, a schedule may be determined a week in advance, however the position is subject to short term schedule changes. The Weekend Float Direct Support Professional will work a minimum of 3 weekends per month/6 weekend shifts per month. Living Well provides services in homes across several different counties:Hennepin: Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Edina, Maple Grove, Crystal, Plymouth, Long Lake, Golden ValleyDakota: Eagan, Apple Valley, Burnsville, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota Heights, West St. Paul, South St. PaulRamsey: Maplewood and Little CanadaIsanti: CambridgeSherburne: Big LakeWright: BuffaloWhat skills are required to be a Float Direct Support Professional?The Float Direct Support Professional must have had a minimum of one years prior experience supporting people with disabilities in their homes. All employees must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a MN Department of Human Services Background Study. This position does require a valid drivers license, vehicle (we offer paid mileage), and the ability to be deemed eligible to drive per our insurance requirements.
