ER RN

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care. The ER RN will provide expert nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency medical services. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and provide skilled nursing care in the ER setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in case management and discharge planning as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Oregon.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in ER or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in emergency room or critical care environments.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

Special Considerations:

• Position requires working in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency room environment.
• May be required to work weekends and varied shifts.
• Must be able to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Scheduling:

• 12-hour varied shifts, primarily from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
• Every other weekend work is required.
• Schedule may exclude orientation week and facility/unit closure days.
