Assistant Community Manager
We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to join our team at Deer Creek Apartments in San Ramon, CA . This role supports the Community Manager in daily operations, leasing performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance with housing regulations. You will help create a welcoming community while contributing to strong occupancy retention.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily property operations, leasing, and resident relations.
- Manage resident records including move-ins, deposits, rent changes, collections, evictions, move-outs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident questions and concerns.
- Review and process invoices for contracted services.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Process invoices and receivable in Yardi
- Review market survey report monthly, consult with Community Manager to change rentals rates and specials to increase occupancy and rental income.
- Seek and support opportunities to increase and promote positively to the property’s on-line reputation management.
Qualifications
- College degree or related course work in business, hospitality, property management or accounting preferred
- Preferred 2 years of experience in similar position
- Experience in leasing and apartment accounting/bookkeeping
Skills
- Effective problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle residents in a professional, diplomatic manner.
- Experience utilizing property management software, preferably Yardi IQ platforms
