Litigation Associate

Overview Nelson Mullins is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its litigation group in the Minneapolis office . As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a lateral associate who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location. Firm attorneys in Minneapolis have practiced primarily in the area of products liability defense, and they regularly handle other types of cases, including premises liability, breach of warranty, breach of contract, and other general commercial litigation. They represent some of the world’s foremost medical device, consumer product, industrial, and automotive manufacturers, and have tried numerous cases to defense verdicts. You will be joining a highly skilled team of attorneys with substantial courtroom experience at the state and federal levels. Responsibilities Draft and argue discovery and other motions, take and defend depositions, manage document productions, and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a growing office. Collaborate with a team of attorneys on complex civil, commercial, and product liability matters; contribute to case strategy and trial preparation; and support the litigation group in varied matters. Take a leading role in case management, including organizing, coordinating, and supervising discovery and other litigation tasks as needed. Qualifications At least 3–5 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation, class actions, general commercial litigation, and other complex matters, including products liability or multidistrict litigation, in a mid-size or large law firm setting. Ability to draft and argue discovery and other motions, take and defend depositions, and manage document productions. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills with strong academic credentials. Adept in case management; ready to take the lead; admitted to and in good standing with the Minnesota Bar. Will consider applicants with admission to other state bars who are willing to become members of the Minnesota bar. Compensation and Benefits Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off. In Minnesota, the salary/wage range is $185,000 – $205,000 annually.
