Role Description The General Manager – Vehicle Upfit Operations (Police & Fleet) will oversee all aspects of the police and fleet upfit division, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective installation of vehicle upfit packages. This full-time, on-site role located in Dallas, GA, involves managing day-to-day operations, including workflow planning, shop scheduling, inventory oversight, vendor coordination, and quality control. The General Manager will lead and develop a team of technicians and support staff, establish performance standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and customer specifications. Responsibilities include partnering with sales and account management teams to understand customer needs, preparing quotes and timelines, resolving escalated customer issues, and maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement, municipal, and commercial fleet clients. The role also includes monitoring financial performance, managing budgets and KPIs, implementing process improvements, and supporting strategic growth of the upfit business line. Qualifications Proven General Management experience, with the ability to set direction, make data-informed decisions, and drive results across a complex operation. Strong Operations Management background, including process optimization, scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance in an automotive, fleet, or upfit environment. Demonstrated Team Management skills, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Customer Service expertise, with a track record of managing key accounts, resolving escalations, and collaborating closely with law enforcement and fleet customers. Budgeting and financial management skills, including forecasting, cost control, margin analysis, and KPI tracking. Experience with police and/or fleet vehicle upfitting, automotive service operations, or related technical environments strongly preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and external partners.
