Position Title Sous Chef – Grade 18 (AFSCME Local 888) Responsibilities Oversee food production, ensuring timely preparation and appealing presentation. Manage kitchen personnel for the production of hot and cold foods, cleanliness of food preparation areas, and control of food costs. Minimum Education and Experience High school or vocational school education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of four years of high‑volume food service experience. Certifications and Licenses ServSafe certification or certification within one year of employment. Ability to pass the Food Handler’s Certification. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer literacy in industry standard software. Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production worksheets. Preferred Qualifications Degree in culinary arts. Experience with FoodPro proprietary production, planning and control system. Physical Demands and Work Environment Shift/Schedule: TBD. Special Conditions Candidates must pass a written test during the first‑round interview and participate in a practical demonstration during the second round.
