Office Assistant II (JR-00592) Location: Virginia Beach, VA Pay Rate: $16.83 per hour Hours:8am-5pm (Temp 60 days) Job Duties Process approximately 40 code enforcement cases daily. Answer citizen calls and emails, including complaint intake. Prepare and send correspondence following established procedures. Schedule inspections and coordinate with staff. Process incoming and outgoing mail, liens, and lien payments. Scan and upload documents into electronic case files. Provide administrative support to field inspectors and residents while helping maintain community standards and compliance with the Virginia Maintenance Code. Qualifications Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software and databases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and calm when handling difficult situations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Dependable, self-motivated, and service-oriented. Experience answering multi-line phones and interacting with the public.
