Administrative Assistant
Robins Kaplan is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Sioux Falls office. This position has opportunities for growth and advancement.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to firm professionals in the fulfillment of their responsibilities with the law firm. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, initiative, flexibility, and dependability.
This role is designated for a hybrid work schedule with four days in office per week to facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders and one remote day per week.
Essential functions include handling numerous assignments and requests simultaneously, triaging legal inquiries, processing expense requests, managing team travel reservations, tracking receipt of materials, submitting online orders, coordinating meeting logistics, assisting with office expenses, coordinating office maintenance needs, storing documents correctly, performing hospitality and office services, preparing memoranda, maintaining calendars, monitoring and managing office phone and mail, gathering and distributing materials, and coordinating work with support departments.
Competencies include being a team player, having client service know-how, good judgment, organizational expertise, attention to detail, time management skills, flexibility, analytical thinking, and professionalism.
Knowledge and skills include delivering outstanding client service, strong verbal and written communication skills, using initiative and independent judgment, prioritizing workloads, interpreting data accurately, exercising discretion in handling confidential information, working well under pressure, and proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, with experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred. Prior legal industry experience is desired.
Physical demands include interacting regularly with others, operating computer and office equipment, moving about the office, remaining stationary for long periods, repetitive movement, and occasional light lifting.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $22.36 - $25.64 per hour, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
