Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level III Trauma Center, managing a high patient ratio with expertise in adult and pediatric emergency conditions. Ensure patient safety, rapid assessment, and effective treatment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs efficiently upon arrival.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and cardiac rhythms, intervening as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, treatments, and outcomes.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and unit-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY Registered Nurse license and current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, COVID.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in adult and pediatric medication administration and dysrhythmia recognition.
• Capable of handling high patient ratios, such as 1:9 in a busy trauma environment.
• Successful passing of respective competency exams with an 80% score required.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
