Credit Product Specialist

Job Description Serve as a market level credit product expert and structure credit and credit‑related transactions to meet client needs while staying within the Bank’s risk profile. Responsible for execution of credit products, including ACH, FX, EF, derivatives, and related products. Manage the diligence and approval process, negotiate legal documents, and oversee closing activities. Partner effectively with the Relationship Banking team to identify and drive revenue through credit products. Directly manage a portfolio of borrowers and all portfolio‑management activities, maintaining direct and ongoing communication with clients. Collaborate with relationship managers and other product partners (TM, FX, DCM) to assess credit needs, generate ideas, and deliver integrated solutions. Assess industry dynamics to advise on the best solutions and participate in client and prospect calls in conjunction with relationship managers. Structure credit transactions within the Bank’s credit risk appetite and lead internal white‑boarding and diligence sessions to assess viable solutions. Drive the internal credit approval process, loan documentation, and closing. Indirectly manage a team of employees to handle all aspects of the credit process and play a key role in training, mentoring, and developing junior talent. Qualifications University or college degree required; higher education (Master’s, PhD) or industry‑relevant certifications desirable. Industry relevant experience generally 8+ years. Knowledge and experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, risk appetite, and underwriting. Strong analytical thinking, decision making, effective communications, and experience with commercial real estate, consumer lending, or competitive advantage analysis. Competencies in client relationship management, negotiation, and critical thinking are essential. Preferred certifications: advanced credit or underwriting qualifications (no specific certification is required). Pay Transparency Base salary range: $80,000.00 – $178,250.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payment based on individual and corporate performance.
