National Dealer Treasury Management Officer

General Function Member of a highly productive, industry-leading team of treasury professionals. Responsible for business development (new and cross-selling), client service excellence, client retention and client consultation. Revenue growth and client retention are paramount. Self-sourcing, networking externally, and partnering with key team members (within the local affiliate and/or group) to drive business. Responsible to prospect with internal partners. Work with a One Bank team to understand clients’ and prospects’ business environments, strategies, and industries so as to best determine financial needs and appropriate working‑capital management solutions to provide. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Persuasively articulate Fifth Third’s value proposition to both internal and external clients to influence the outcome within the sales process. Identify client needs and present working capital solutions to clients and prospects. Understand payment processes. Demonstrate proficiency in knowledge of all strategic TM solutions and their benefits to our clients. Understand competitors’ capabilities and gaps and position Fifth Third’s services against them. Prepare and deliver quarterly client service reviews. Develop personal relationships with C‑suite and senior management decision makers at client and prospect organisations. Devise and execute a plan to exceed sales goals. Develop and manage a sales pipeline of new and cross‑sell opportunities and appropriately manage them to win/loss decisions. Actively manage the pipeline using the CRM tool. Maintain lines of communication with RMs individually and as a group. Review sales goals with RMs and advise them of calling strategies. Educate and advise RMs of new TM product development initiatives. Assess RMs’ knowledge level and bring each up to a minimum standard. Partner with RMs to provide recommendations on sales opportunities including sales to new prospects and cross‑sell opportunities to existing clients. Work closely with assigned client specialists to ensure excellent client service on an ongoing basis. Assist with general bank communications to clients. Take ownership and deliver timely resolution of client issues. Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate response to client issues. Understand and communicate implementation timelines to align with client expectations. Ensure proper account documentation and all requisite agreement execution. Communicate recurring or serious product issues to management. Recommend viable solutions to improve client service. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience. Experience serving dealer clients and a strong understanding of dealership business models, cash‑flow cycles, and treasury‑management needs. Ability to position treasury and payments solutions within dealer operating and financing environments. CTP certification. Six years of experience in treasury management/commercial banking sales. Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding performance goals. Strong client interaction skills with the ability to influence sales outcomes. Powerful presentation and negotiation skills with internal and external clients. Ability to articulate the benefits of strong working‑capital management solutions to clients. Product and sales knowledge sufficient to mentor new team members. Knowledge of a wide array of treasury‑management products. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in MS Office. Technical Treasury Management competencies: Understanding of Treasury Management, Payments and Commerce products and solutions. Ability to build new and existing client relationships. Ability to evaluate client needs. Advanced understanding of financial statement analysis. Strategic treasury advisory services. Understanding of investment‑management techniques. Basic understanding of loan structuring. Understanding of financial‑management principles. Advanced accounting techniques. National Dealer Treasury Management Officer – Total Base Pay Range: $96,500.00 – $207,500.00 USD per year. Location: Charlotte, North Carolina 28202.
