American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed multi-specialty Operating Room unit
• Day shift team includes CNC, 7 RNs, 10 CSTs, 3-4 FAs, 4 PCTs, 2 anesthesia techs, a supervisor, and a director
• Night shift is on-call only
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Multi-specialty surgical equipment used
• EMR is Meditech, currently converting to Expanse
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required weekly plus one weekend per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room specialty
• Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gyn surgery required
• ENT and vascular (non-cardiac) experience preferred
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO)
• No work history gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic general surgical procedures including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and some bariatric cases
• Assist with robotic orthopedic surgeries including total knees, hips, and trauma orthopedic cases
• Support laparoscopic/robotic hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions
• Team-oriented environment seeking candidates with initiative and drive to keep the surgical schedule moving
• Scrub attire required in cobalt blue
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
