Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 3 years ICU experience required, CRRT experience (Nxstage) preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:2 (acuity based)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Must be skilled in ventilator/trach management, invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swan), drains/tube management, foley management, chest tubes
• Experience with post-surgical recovery, post cath procedures, CVVH, balloon pumps, and CRRT (NxStage) required
• Care for patients with COVID, sepsis, stroke with TPA, general surgical cases, cardiac/vascular procedures
• May float to intermediate units (1:3), MSU, ED boarding (1:4), and observation units (1:4)
• Use EPIC charting system (preferred), Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• One day orientation with educator and preceptor
• Scrubs: any color except camo, denim, or hoodies
• More than 2 sick calls may result in contract evaluation and possible termination

Facility:

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring a Level III Trauma Center, Level II NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 136 beds. The ICU is a 17-bed critical care unit with 24/7 intensivist coverage, dedicated ICU pharmacist during day shifts, and comprehensive support staff including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy team, and unit educator. The facility utilizes advanced technology including bedside telemetry monitoring and provides adequate PPE including N95 masks and PAPRs for staff safety.
