About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to play a pivotal role in driving the growth strategy and leading the evolution of sales capability development. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, with a focus on strengthening prospecting effectiveness, sales skills, and business development best practices. Key responsibilities include leading and developing the U.S. business development organization, creating a culture of accountability and high performance, and ensuring the team is focused on new customer acquisition and revenue growth. The role also involves establishing and maintaining executive-level relationships, driving the X-Selling initiative, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration to support successful customer acquisition and long-term retention. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (MBA or advanced business degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years' of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience, with at least 5 years' in a high-performing business development team leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies, entering new markets, and expanding commercial presence. Experience in B2B industries such as logistics, supply chain, industrial services, or technology is essential, as is a strong background in sales of warehousing solutions. The role requires advanced proficiency in CRM and sales forecasting tools, as well as the ability to leverage data and technology for revenue growth and strategic decision-making. The candidate must be a player-coach leader, capable of holding team members accountable and ensuring the adoption of company sales methodology and CRM standards.
