IT Project ManagerDuration: 6 Months Contract with possible extensionLocation: McLean, VA (5 days - Onsite)Start Date: ASAP!No VISA restrictions but need local candidateHiring Manager Notes for this Role:Must need: Working within a financial service / Previous background in finance, capital markets, accounting background and local to DMV regionHM Notes:Working in fast pace – handle multiple projects in different domains Previous experience that has worked in a complex environmentTrue IT PM/Project coordinator roleWork on AI projects in the futureHands on SQL queries but be comfortable in capital markets in data specifically financial division Single families, multifamily LOB'sA lot of projects are about data (25% of the work) Migrating data and looking at the queries and understand what they are doing and pass the information alongMoving traditional to Snowflake and responsibleSupporting AI governance in the futurePM/coordination across multiple domains and document for reporting purposes and relevant background in DA then can leverage that PM & reportingPart of the PMO team within Capital Markets1st Round IV will be a panel interview; 2nd Round would be senior management of 1-2 peopleReason for the Need:Limited bandwidth and looking for someone to come in and hit the ground runningMust Haves:7+ years of IT project managerWorking within a financial service Previous background in finance, capital markets, accounting backgroundExcel experience Can put the information together for a presentation for higher level managementDA background Reporting experienceWill not be writing queries but looking at the data and read the complex dataStrong communication Strong attention detailPlusses:Broad level of operational risk MGMTExperience in Tableau, PowerBIAI experienceDay to Day:Analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business decisions within capital markets processes.Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.Prepare clear, concise management reports and executive presentations for status and milestone updates.Liaise with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate progress.Track project progress, identify risks/issues, and propose solutions to keep initiatives on track.Support process improvements by analyzing current workflows and recommending data-driven enhancements.Ensure documentation of project requirements, changes, and outcomes.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of capital markets operations, products, and data flows.Additional Information:4-8 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role in Financial Services industry.Strong understanding of capital markets processes and data (e.g., trade lifecycle, settlements, market data, financial instruments).Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.Excellent stakeholder management skills; experience collaborating with functional teams.Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Proficient in preparing management reports and executive-level presentations (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) is a plusInterview Information:Rounds: 2 roundsDuration: 45 minutes|30 MinutesInterview Type: Virtual- video mandatory| On-site second roundInterview Placeholders: 02/11 at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM ;02/12 at 1:30 PM; 02/13 at 2:00PM
