Maintenance Technician - The Crossings

The Crossings is a leader in retirement living, offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation. MRC's Crossings Community is Bay Area's only 5-Star non-profit retirement community! The Crossings is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to perform duties involving operations, security and maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday. Must be able to work between the hours of 7am-7pm. (Will work 8 hours per day as shift are staggered)

Job Duties

• Plumbing: faucet and fixture repair, drain clearing, toilet repair, basic leak detection
• HVAC: PTAC and fan coil unit maintenance and repair, thermostat troubleshooting, basic refrigerant system diagnostics
• Electrical: outlet and switch replacement, light fixture installation, basic panel familiarity (circuit identification)
• Carpentry: door adjustment and hardware, basic furniture repair, patching and painting
• Pool maintenance (where applicable): chemical testing and adjustment, pump and filter basic maintenance
• Basic test equipment: multimeter, pressure gauge, voltage tester
• Standard hand tools and power tools
• Self-direction technicians work through their work order list with limited direct supervision
• Good communication with guests and front desk when entering rooms and updating room status

Qualifications

First and foremost, the ability to project a friendly, courteous and helpful manner to residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Two years of experience in most phases of building maintenance and experience in all trade areas.
