As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government tow pound location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a government vehicle storage location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of vehicle storage areas, access points, perimeter fencing, offices, and surrounding grounds to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to the location, verify authorization for entry and vehicle retrieval as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public-service agencies as required. Observe and report damaged property, unsecured gates, lighting concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
