The roles vary from mid-term substitute placements, with you working directly in a classroom Monday through Friday, supporting students and staff on a consistent, daily basis. We also have availability for our daily substitute program, where you can choose which centers / hours work best for you!

\n Zen Educate partners with public and charter schools across various school districts. We help schools hire dedicated paraprofessionals and teaching assistants, creating smart, timely matches that support students with special education needs and build stronger school communities.

You’ll be stepping into a teaching position at a preschool site, helping to lead activities, manage the classroom, and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 2 –5. You’ll follow the school’s curriculum and routines while collaborating with other teachers and support staff.

\n

We have opportunities for this position across many sites in San Diego, including but not limited to the North County Coast, Central SD, and some surrounding Southern and Eastern communities. A single application puts you in consideration for all available locations in the region.

\n Key Responsibilities:
\n -Lead daily classroom routines and activities for children ages 2–5
\n -Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
\n -Support children’s social, emotional, and academic growth
\n -Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to follow curriculum plans
\n -Communicate effectively with staff and families
\n -Maintain classroom organization, safety, and licensing standards \n

Required Qualifications:
\n -At least 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education/CHDV or Child Development Permit
\n -A minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare center or similar group setting
\n -Must be reliable, professional, and passionate about early learning
\n License/Certification:
\n -12+ CHDV or ECE Units

\n

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
\n -Early childhood education:1 year
\n -Bilingual in English/Spanish
\n -Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified

\n

Salary
\n Pay: $22 - $25 per hour
\n Schedule: Flexibility of work, Monday through Friday

\n
