Key Qualifications:

• Experience as an ORT (Operating Room Technician) or Surgical Tech in a hospital or ambulatory surgical setting
• Surgical Tech Certification preferred, but open to both certified and non-certified candidates
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, instrumentation, and OR protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail under pressure
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing cases and environments

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment according to procedure requirements
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations, anticipating needs and managing sterile fields
• Effectively handle and count surgical instruments, supplies, and sponges before, during, and after procedures
• Support surgical team by passing instruments and supplies as requested throughout procedures
• Safely transport patients to and from the operating room as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety guidelines
• Ensure timely documentation of procedure details and equipment usage
