Night Shift Supervisor Needed for a Small Team in Moraine! $28/hr!!

Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process by receiving and interpreting orders, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring that production goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders from internal software and interpret job and raw material IDs.
• Pick raw materials from storage and use a hand scanner for inventory accuracy.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes/magnets to move heavy bar stock.
• Load raw material into saw machines and set job parameters using the machine touchscreen.
• Manually adjust machine tools and load finished material onto pallets for delivery.
• Manage at least two saw machines simultaneously.
• Hold the third shift crew accountable to production goals.
• Oversee shipping and inventory processes.
• Read and interpret tape measures as per instruction sheets.
• Perform basic math and fraction conversions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving.

• Attention to detail for matching job and product IDs.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in steel manufacturing is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a large open garage-type setting that may have some oil and lubricant residues. The environment is non-climate controlled, but equipped with fans and heaters for comfort. The team consists of fewer than five people per shift, creating a close-knit working atmosphere. This position operates during the third shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moraine, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
