An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support elementary-aged students in a vibrant school environment near Aurora and Naperville, IL. This full-time, contract position spans the entire school year, offering a consistent schedule of four days per week (Monday-Thursday, 30 hours total). You’ll collaborate with school teams and families to foster student growth, with a focus on sensory integration and individualized goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience necessary
- Skill in sensory integration and experience working with elementary-aged children highly preferred
- Comfortable in developing, implementing, and tracking individualized goals and documenting progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality occupational therapy services to elementary students, helping them achieve functional and academic success
- Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and track progress towards individualized goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize therapy strategies across learning environments
- Maintain consistent documentation and contribute effectively to IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy interventions and methodologies to best suit school-aged children
