Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in school-based settings is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work seamlessly with educators, families, and fellow therapists
- Proficiency in adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs and educational goals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans for students from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels
- Deliver direct therapy services in group and individual settings, focusing on skill development for academic participation, self-care, and social skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals and integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the decision-making process for student services
