Senior .NET Developer

job summary:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Full-Stack Application Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This hands-on role will support and enhance existing enterprise applications while also developing modern web-based solutions. The ideal candidate will be a versatile developer comfortable working across desktop, web, API/service, and database layers.

Strong experience with C#, .NET, Microsoft Blazor, VB.NET, WPF/Windows Forms, SQL Server, WCF, REST APIs, Git/TFS, and CI/CD is required. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills, be comfortable supporting legacy applications while contributing to modernization efforts, and be able to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack .
• Develop modern web applications using Microsoft Blazor while supporting existing WPF and Windows Forms applications.
• Maintain and enhance applications built with C#, VB.NET, .NET, and .NET Framework .
• Develop, maintain, and integrate WCF and RESTful APIs/web services .
• Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server , including complex queries, stored procedures, database integration, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the UI, application, API/service, and database layers , identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Support modernization efforts, including transitioning legacy desktop/client-server functionality to modern web-based solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, source control, testing, builds, and deployments .
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, application owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned applications and technical issues from development through implementation and production support.

qualifications:
Qualifications

Strong professional experience with C# and .NET/.NET Framework, along with working proficiency in VB.NET.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Blazor and modern web application development.

Experience developing and supporting WPF and/or Windows Forms applications.

Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, including database-driven application development and troubleshooting.

Experience developing and supporting WCF and RESTful APIs/web services.

Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes.

Experience with Git, TFS, and/or Azure DevOps for source control.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.

Experience with Azure, Power BI, Entity Framework/EF Core, automated testing, or application modernization is a plus.
