Senior Accountant or Cost Accountant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant or a Cost Accountant. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. This position will be 100% in the office full-time. The client offers Salary and Benefits, team culture and an opportunity for growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, variance analysis)
- Analyze and reconcile inventory, cost accounting, and sub-ledgers across multiple entities
- Partner with leadership to support global financial reporting (US GAAP + statutory requirements)
- Manage intercompany accounting, including foreign currency transactions across global locations
- Oversee fixed assets and capital expenditure tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Support tax compliance in coordination with external advisors
- Assist with audit processes and regulatory reporting
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and internal controls enhancements
- Support ERP initiatives and system implementations
- Participate in cross-functional projects, including M&A activities and corporate finance initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based environment
- Experience with standard costing and/or inventory accounting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of US GAAP; International or technical accounting exposure a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude, Oracle, (ERP experience preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage competing priorities
