Senior Accountant

DescriptionKforce's client, a growing and dynamic organization is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join its finance team in the Saint Louis, MO area. The client offers salary, benefits, work/life benefits.Summary:This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the financial close process, support business operations, enhance accounting controls, and contribute to process improvement initiatives in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities:* Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations* Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate accounting variances* Partner with finance, operations, and other departments to address accounting matters and support business objectives* Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries* Support the implementation of process improvements, automation initiatives, and control enhancements* Apply and interpret accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting team members when neededRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field* 4+ years of progressive accounting experience* Experience working within a SOX-compliant environment* Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or financial systems* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions* Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment* Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to accuracyJob TypeDirect HireCompensation95000 - $110000
