Senior Accountant

Kforce's client, a growing wellness services organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a newly established Shared Accounting Services team. Summary: This role offers the opportunity to support multiple locations and business units within a rapidly expanding organization while helping build scalable accounting processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls. Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Accountant will perform month-end and year-end close activities for multiple entities
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support standardization of accounting processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• As a Senior Accountant, you will analyze financial data and identify opportunities for operational improvements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve workflows
• Contribute to the development of a scalable shared services accounting model
• Assist with internal controls, process documentation, and system enhancements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience working in multi-entity environments
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Savvy systems skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
