Senior AccountantThe Gatesworth Communities, a locally owned senior living organization in St. Louis, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our corporate finance team. This full-cycle accounting role supports all four of our communities — The Gatesworth, McKnight Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, McKnight Place Extended Care, and Parc Provence — and plays a key part in the accuracy of our consolidated financial reporting. A great fit for an experienced accountant who thrives on precision, deadlines, and process improvement across a multi-site portfolio.What You'll Do:Own the monthly close process across all four communities — journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual/prepaid schedulesPrepare and review monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual variance analysis by communityComplete balance sheet reconciliations for each community, including security deposits and bank accountsOversee resident billing and revenue recognition tied to move-ins, move-outs, and ancillary charges across sitesReview AR aging and coordinate collections with billing teamsReview and approve AP vendor invoicesSupport annual audits, tax filings, and cost reports alongside the Corporate ControllerAssist with annual budget preparation and financial reporting for all communitiesMaintain internal controls over cash, billing, and disbursements at the community levelReconcile intercompany transactions and maintain fixed asset recordsPrepare Missouri sales and use tax returnsWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)5+ years of accounting experienceExperience supporting multiple entities or locations a plusProficiency with ERP/accounting systemsAdvanced Excel skillsStrong knowledge of GAAPCPA preferredPublic accounting or senior healthcare industry experience a plusWe offer Competitive Benefits: 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Discounted Employee Meals, Complimentary Parking, Discounted Club Fitness rates, Employee Appreciation Events, and more!Why The Gatesworth Communities: Join a well-established, locally owned organization known for excellence in senior living, with the opportunity to gain broad exposure across a growing four-community portfolio.
