Accounting and Payroll Clerk Are you seeking a detail oriented, multi‑faced, fast‑moving role assisting with all areas of Accounting and Payroll? We are looking for a detail‑oriented person who enjoys and thrives in a rapid‑pace team environment, and who looks to succeed by getting things done effectively and thoroughly. This position will support AP, AR, and the payroll function as needed. Strong attention to detail is required. Job Duties Match invoices to receiving documents. Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks. Distributes signed checks as required. Post invoices into the computer system. Answers all vendor inquiries. Generate accounts payable and refund checks. Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies. File paid and unpaid invoices and statements. Assists in monthly closings. Maintain a cooperative manner with other employees. Data entry for payroll/GL job costing Assist in Accounting and payroll related projects, such as systems implementations and updates Other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience High School Diploma 2+ years Office Administration and Accounting Experience, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment Special Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, employees, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written/or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Highly Proficient in Exel, Word and Cloud based systems such as Sage, UKG, Paycor, NetSuite Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and use a computer. The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
