Test Technician - 1st Shift

Responsibilities Test functional performance of circuit breakers, including electrical and mechanical functions, leak tests, high voltage tests, visual and dimensional inspections. Perform mechanical adjustment operations on circuit breaker components, linkages, and operating mechanisms. Compare results with specifications, record test data, and print test results. Perform electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs, such as replacing defective wiring and electrical components, and mechanical repairs. Support production during repair procedures when required. Analyze test results on defective units and report on nonconforming products. Consult with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and resolve problems. Review test reports from other test technicians and maintain test report files. Calibrate test instruments according to specifications. Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical test equipment, gas‑handling equipment, and test facilities. Ensure that the product meets customer requirements for finished goods. Document work performed by filling out proper forms. Perform other duties as assigned. Work evening shift and overtime as needed. Education and Experience Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of related experience in quality control testing or electrical panel wiring. Desired Characteristics Ability to read and interpret documents such as test standards, inspection and test procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals (including IEEE and IEC standards). Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics. Strong communication skills: speak effectively, write routine reports and correspondence. Articulate, professional, with good interpersonal skills for frequent customer witness tests.
