Job Responsibilities

• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and create individualized therapy strategies to help them achieve their functional objectives
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions designed to improve motor function, cognitive abilities, and daily activities for patients
• Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work alongside OTs, PTs, SLPs, physicians, and nurses to provide comprehensive patient-centered care
• Educate Patients and Caregivers: Teach essential therapy methods to families and patients to facilitate ongoing progress beyond sessions
• Evaluate and Document Patient Progress: Keep track of clinical outcomes and modify treatments as necessary to maintain patient advancement

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Ongoing education or post-doctoral certifications are encouraged and supported

Licensing & Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
