What to Expect Provides care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and related problems in cadet-athletes. Assumes primary responsibility for an assigned athletic team(s). What You’ll Do 75% Health care services for assigned team(s) Coordinate and deliver athletic training services daily to assigned team(s). Provide care and manage injuries and illnesses, including prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation strategies. Maintain proper records of injuries, treatment, rehabilitation, and exposure. Communicate effectively with the Associate Athletics Director, Head Athletic Trainer, Supervisor, coaches, parents, military personnel, and physicians in all matters of cadet health and safety. Design and supervise rehabilitation programs. Refer cadet-athletes to the appropriate physician according to accepted guidelines. Collaborate with sports performance staff (e.g., strength and nutrition) on matters of cadet-athlete wellness and return to play. 10% Education & Prevention Provide education and instruction to cadet-athletes on the prevention and care of musculoskeletal injuries. Supervise athletic training students and cadet managers/trainers for assigned team(s).
