IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN).

Responsibilities Performs customer support duties to include account management, password resets, and addressing priority needs for the organization. Analyzes configuration management processes and procedures, develops and recommends processes, software, and procedures to ensure effective configuration management. Identifies and carries out actions to investigate and recommend cost‑effective solutions to management. Plans and coordinates the maintenance, upgrade, and support of systems, scheduling activities during off‑peak usage periods. Manages and maintains the baseline configuration of hardware, software, and network systems. Requirements United States citizen or national. Completion of a pre‑employment security investigation and background check, including drug screening. Probationary or trial period may be required. Selective Service registration required for male candidates born on or after December 31, 1959; exempt individuals must have an approved exemption. Must meet all eligibility requirements by the closing date and throughout the hiring process; offers may be rescinded if requirements are not met. Financial disclosure may be required in accordance with DOJ and federal ethics guidelines. USA Hire assessment required; assessment to be completed within 48 hours after the closing date. Must be able to hold a top secret/SCI security clearance. Requires approximately 25% temporary duty travel. Qualifications Attention to detail – thoroughness and conscientiousness. Customer service – ability to assess and satisfy client needs, knowledge of available services. Oral communication – effective presentations and attentive listening. Problem solving – identifies problems, evaluates alternatives, makes recommendations. Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS‑11 level in the federal service or comparable non‑federal experience, specifically: supporting organization systems, planning and overseeing hardware and software installation on workstations, and troubleshooting hardware maintenance and repairs.
