Base Pay $40,000.00 / Year Job Category On Site Employee Type Full Time - Non-Exempt Description The Medical Assistant is a key member of the Care Team, responsible for supporting patients throughout their visit by performing clinical and administrative tasks that promote high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include conducting basic patient assessments, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, documenting care in the electronic medical record, and ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. The role requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, collaboration with interdisciplinary care team members, and a commitment to maintaining an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment. Medical Assistants support clinic operations while advancing the mission and values of Lawndale Christian Health Center. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is preferred, along with experience in a medical office, hospital, laboratory, or other clinical setting. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification and current CPR certification are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary care team. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, prioritize competing demands, and support the mission and values of Lawndale Christian Health Center is required.
