• Project located in Central IL - must be able to travel there and set up lodging
• 6-9 month project, work expected into late 2027
• 40hr and 166 per diem
• 55+ hours a week
• 2nd or 3rd shift
• Looking for gear cutting and grinding machinists

Job Description

• Set up and operate CNC grinders, hobbs, shapers, drills, and other machining equipment to produce precision components.
  • JUNKER Grinders, Warner Grinder, Okuma Drills, Gleason Shapers, Liebherr Hobs
• Use Siemens and Fanuc controls to run machining operations, make adjustments, and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished parts using hand gages and measuring tools, support CMM inspections, and perform deburring and cleaning as needed.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and setup sheets while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience with gear cutting
• Proficiency with Siemens and/or Fanuc controls.
• Ability to perform setups, tool changes, basic troubleshooting, and precision measurements.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and willingness to work overtime (50+ hours/week)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
