Make a meaningful impact for students with complex needs as an Autism or Emotional Support Interventionist for the 2026–2027 academic year. These contract positions focus on supporting students with autism and/or significant emotional or behavioral challenges, working closely with educators and related service professionals in structured classroom environments within Carbon and Lehigh counties.

Assignment Details:

• Term: August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027 (tentative, aligns with school calendar)
• Hours: 32.5–35 per week; limited hours August 10 (Opening Day & Summer Academy), full days as assignment begins

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Human Services or related field (preferred); Associate’s degree with one or more years of relevant experience considered (three years preferred)
• Demonstrated experience working with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional/behavioral disabilities, ABA, behavioral health, or school-based special education
• Skilled in strong behavior management, de-escalation, and data collection for progress monitoring
• Able to remain calm and professional during escalated behavioral incidents
• Reliable and collaborative with basic computer competency for documentation
• Required: At least one completed supervisor reference check to present

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support for students through individualized instruction and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans
• Utilize evidence-based interventions (visual schedules, PECS, AAC, reinforcement systems), collect academic/behavioral data
• Support personal care as needed and facilitate classroom routines, social skills, and transitions
• Maintain a proactive, trauma-informed, and therapeutic approach in responding to crisis behaviors and emotional dysregulation
