Overview The Barber Law Firm, a growing Personal Injury Law Firm, is looking for a paralegal with plaintiff\'s-side motor vehicle accident and/or personal injury litigation experience. Position requires extensive client interaction and attention to detail. Candidates must be motivated, dedicated, self-starters. The Paralegal will spend a majority of the day working with clients, providers and insurance companies. Customer Service and Professionalism is a MUST! Job Duties Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, demands, appeals, etc. Prepare affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organize and maintain documents in our electronic filing system. Ability to work efficiently under pressure with or without direct supervision. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Familiar with computerized databases and on-line services for legal research and electronic filings. Knowledge of Federal and State rules and procedures. Meeting with clients for initial consultation at the firm or provider’s office. Assuring readiness and correctness of file. Experience obtaining, organizing and reviewing medical records. Maintaining general order and confidentiality of files. Answering phones professionally and providing excellent customer service. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1-3 years plaintiff's-side motor vehicle accident and/or personal injury litigation experience, preferred. Excellent computer skills. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent customer service skills. Desire to achieve excellence in office environment. Must be Very accurate and detail oriented. Knowledge of filing insurance claims, working on insurance claims and property damage a plus, but not required. Software Skills Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with heavy calendaring in a deadline driven office Use of multi-line phone system, copy, fax and scanning machines Education Must have a Bachelor\'s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program #J-18808-Ljbffr The Barber Law Firm
