Job Position: Quality Control
Location: Deer Park, TX 77536 Pay Rate: $13.00/hr. Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Rotating Shift. Description: The candidate will be responsible for checking the quality and safety of packaged sugar products throughout production.- Quality inspections: Inspect sugar bags, seals, packaging, and product appearance to identify defects.
- Weight verification: Check that bags meet the required weight specifications and verify scale accuracy.
- Metal detection: Perform metal detector checks according to the required schedule and report failed tests.
- Production monitoring: Check that employees follow safety, hygiene, sanitation, and GMP procedures.
- Production start-up: Inspect equipment and work areas before production begins and verify that requirements are met.
- Documentation and reports: Record inspection results, sample weights, defects, and quality checks. Complete required reports and emails.
- Problem-solving: Stop production, separate defective products, and notify supervisors when quality or safety issues are found.
- Additional inspections: Check product codes and dates, pallets, magnets, equipment cleanliness, and packaging materials.
- Teamwork and flexibility: Communicate with production employees and supervisors and be available for rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, or weekends when required.
