Job Overview As part of the Clinical Resource (CR) Team, the Clinical Nurse serves as a system-wide resource, providing patient care within defined cohort areas: Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency/Network of Care, and/or Ambulatory clinical areas. The Clinical Nurse has the clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide nursing care commensurate with the unit, department, and division expectation. The Clinical Nurse may begin their shift in one unit and, based on a change in census and acuity, be reallocated to a different unit to meet operational needs. It is also possible for the Clinical Nurse to experience extended periods of time in one department to offset long‑term absences through the Months Program. Shift and Compensation Position Status: Multiple FTEs available; must work 20 hours/week to be eligible for benefits. Shift: Critical Care cohort – Day/Night rotating and nights available. Salary: Hourly range $38.34 to $57.51 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Relocation Incentive: Up to $4,400 for qualifying positions (100 mi or greater). Duties & Responsibilities Delivers patient‑ and family‑centered nursing care in one or more clinical areas, incorporating developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, evidence‑based practices. Communicates and advocates patient values, preferences, and expressed needs as part of care plan implementation and evaluation, and assesses patient/family learning needs to the interdisciplinary team. Initiates and anticipates individualized care and education for patients/families across the continuum using an interdisciplinary approach; communicates unit/department‑specific information to stakeholders to support patient care and operations. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to provide individualized care and education while minimizing risks during transitions of care. Researches, compiles, and analyzes data; prepares case records, reports, and correspondence to facilitate communication, clinical decision‑making, error prevention, and care coordination. Collects, monitors, and reports on quality of care outcomes and measures; provides input into continuous evaluation and improvement of internal quality and safety processes. Ensures compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and best practices to minimize risk of harm to patients and providers. Identifies and implements evidence‑based practice to improve quality of care provided to patients/families. Serves as an ambassador for the Staffing Resource Team, seeking feedback and recommendations to support units/departments in achieving goals and objectives. Communicates areas of opportunity to improve professional practice to key stakeholder groups to advance healthcare outcomes. Actively engages in unit/department activities while providing services in that area. Continuously seeks opportunities to advance knowledge and skills to provide timely, efficient, effective, safe, and person‑centered care where assigned. Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). Experience: Two years of pediatric nursing experience aligned to the cohort. Pediatric Critical Care experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least six months before expiration required upon hire. ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
