About the Position

• Supports pharmacists in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
• Packages medications according to standard procedures including blister cards, unit dose packaging, compliance packaging, and vial fill.
• Assists with maintenance of an adequate inventory of medications and other supplies.
• Prepares compounds per physician's order under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Labels prescriptions accurately, including informational labels, e.g. cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepares medication for delivery to customers.
• Assists in maintenance and documentation of appropriate environmental controls in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adheres to HIPAA and FDA regulations and also maintains a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
• Strives for compliance by all staff with internal controls and state and federal regulations.

The successful candidate will meet one of the following:

• Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
• Be at least 16 years of age
