Job Summary The Manager, Fleet Luxury Facilities is a hands‑on operational role within the Marine Operations Team, responsible for the upkeep, presentation, and condition of all interior and exterior guest spaces onboard the company’s yachts. Focused on maintaining a luxury environment, the role ensures facilities maintenance supports guest comfort and experience. The Manager works closely with other departments to maintain, repair, and refurbish assets to the highest luxury standards. This includes overseeing onboard teams managing fixtures, fittings, furnishings, and systems; performing budget forecasting and cost control; developing project scopes; and ensuring compliance with Class, Flag, and Company requirements. The Manager also plans and coordinates all operational repairs, refurbishments, and non‑revenue crossing work, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection standards, collaborating with technical and project teams during non‑revenue crossings, dry and wet dockings, and hotel refits. Key Responsibilities Drive the importance of all Ritz‑Carlton Gold Standards throughout every guest and employee interaction. Act as the first point of contact for all yacht aesthetics topics, day‑to‑day operations, project management of non‑revenue sailing work, drydock planning, purchase order and invoice approvals, and related activities. Create procedures across the fleet that standardize the upkeep and maintenance protocols for our yachts. Use data from systems such as Pinpoint, IssuTrax, and others to drive maintenance planning, KPI tracking, and problem resolution for the yacht aesthetics team. Develop, implement and perform yearly Yacht Aesthetics Audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Plan, monitor, and arrange yacht maintenance and upkeep, including port services from external parties and monitoring KPIs for issue identification and resolution onboard. Ensure that all systems, equipment, and assets under your ownership are maintained to the highest standards. Manage hotel defects and monitor trends to continuously improve all guest‑affected defects within the facilities department ashore and onboard. Stay close to the guest voice in all maintenance and cleanliness feedback, reacting to emerging trends and opportunities, and measuring yacht condition and impact. Build a proactive maintenance culture within onboard teams, ensuring preventive maintenance procedures are planned, executed, and aligned with hotel operations. Develop and maintain Facilities SOPs that promote knowledge sharing, consistency, and best practices across the fleet. Manage yacht aesthetics expenditures against assigned budgets, including OPEX budgets, variance tracking, cost‑control measures, and procurement of suppliers, products, and proposals. Ensure that company yachts operate beyond compliance with SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC, USPH, United States Coast Guard, and other relevant codes, and follow company policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Newbuild and Design teams to review, evaluate, and approve maintenance, repair, or modification work with potential impact to yacht design or aesthetics. Travel to yachts, corporate offices, and/or shipyards on an as‑needed basis (up to 25%). Competency Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the maritime sector, or equivalent. Skills & Experience Shore‑based experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role in marine interior outfitting, with at least three years in a guest‑facing position onboard luxury vessels or in a luxury hotel environment. Extensive experience with cruise or passenger vessels, including project management and, preferably, managing third‑party outsourced operations relationships. Proven facilities‑management leadership with comprehensive knowledge of safety and risk management, regulatory compliance, asset management, and fiscal responsibility. Strong ability to assess how standards and defects impact the guest experience, with excellent collaboration and communication skills across departments and stakeholders. Ability to develop SOPs from the ground up and manage vessel operational budgets effectively. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office and planned maintenance systems. Ability to work autonomously, manage change, implement new concepts, and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Clear, professional communication in English, with the highest ethical standards, confidentiality, and solution‑oriented approach to meet operational deadlines. Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to work in a combination of office, shipboard, and shipyard environments, with international travel required. Travel International travel is required.
