Accounts Payable Clerk

Paragon Sports Constructors, a 100% employee-owned company and one of the leading turn-key contractors of natural and synthetic turf sports fields, running tracks, and tennis courts in the south-central United States. In addition to our core services, we also manage small stadium and facility renovations that include lighting, bleachers, press boxes, parking, and pavements. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk at our office in Fort Worth, Texas. This role will cover all accounts payable tasks, as well as other general bookkeeping items as assigned.This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 per year, commensurate with experience Process accounts payable accurately and efficiently. Ensure all invoices are properly coded and approved according to company policies. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the high-volume accounts payable function. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions. Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager. Accounts Payable Clerk qualifications: 3+ years prior experience as an accounts payable clerk, additional experience or adequate internships a plus Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. Full charge accounts payable experience is required. Strong communication skills and proactive thinking, should be able to anticipate needs beyond initial request, ask follow-up questions and maintain ongoing projects with few reminders. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Foundation software is a plus. Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Accounts Payable Clerk preferred skills: Prior experience in the AEC industry desired, specifically with sports construction projects. Experience playing, coaching, or cheering for your favorite sports teams.
