Check out our job openings, and we look forward to working with you.Job DescriptionThe Helper provides general support to production operations by assisting multiple departments, including Fabrication, Assembly, and Paint/Blast. This position performs a variety of basic labor tasks to support workflow, maintain organization, and ensure the shop operates efficiently during peak production periods. This is a temporary position intended to provide additional support during the summer months.Essential FunctionsAssist employees across departments with general labor tasks as directedMove materials, parts, and equipment throughout the facilityMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipmentAssist with basic production tasks such as prepping, and staging materials under supervisionSupport loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materialsHelp prepare jobs for production by staging parts and materialsPerform routine shop cleanup, including sweeping, trash removal, and organizing workspacesFollow all company safety policies and procedures at all timesWear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in all designated areasMaintain regular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as assigned to support production needsPerform nonproduction painting tasks throughout the facility using brush or roller, including marking warning lines, designating safety zones, and indicating locations of fire extinguishers and other safety equipmentOGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act ("The Unity Bill.") effective August 29th, 2019.CompetenciesCommunication SkillsResults OrientedTeamworkAbility to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environmentStrong work ethic and willingness to learnReliable and punctualAbility to work independently on assigned tasksSupervisor ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentNon-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
