Engagement Manager – B2B Services Practice OC&C is recruiting for the Engagement Manager position in our B2B Services Practice across both our New York City and Boston offices. We partner with B2B focused clients in areas including Engineering Construction and Infrastructure Services; Outsourcing; Professional Services; TIC; Industrial Products and Automotive Services. We work with companies in these areas to drive topline growth, and also with investors focused on these sectors. We require people of the highest intellectual caliber who thrive on original thinking. It is less important that you have deep sector expertise – we can rapidly help you build that. We value ability to lead teams of 3-6 consultants in tackling difficult problems. While you will be involved in business development, your primary contribution will be assisting the Partners in generating demand for repeat business through delivery excellence. Our fast‑growth business offers a clear path to partnership. Rapid progression is available for great talent. Qualifications At least 5 years professional experience gained partly or entirely in a strategy consultancy environment (either working for a consulting firm, or an in‑house strategy role) or at least 2 years experience after an MBA degree. Outstanding track record of achieving and exceeding objectives. Experience managing work streams and teams. A proven ability to develop successful relationships at senior executive to board level. Experience in the B2B Services industries where we specialize is preferred, but not required. Key Abilities Hypothesis and issue driven approach to tackling complex strategic questions. Analytical thinker, who can recognize critical issues and focus attention accordingly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective team manager – pragmatic, enthusiastic and structured doer, with ability to create and maintain pace while ensuring energies are well focused and channeled. Integrity, honesty, respect for individuals, and culturally unbiased. Credible at board level, with ability to relate well to clients and colleagues. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary range of $230,000–$243,000 plus bonus based on performance. Salary will be based on your experience and skill set plus a generous benefits package.
