Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist within a dynamic school setting near Matthews, NC. This full-time position is designed to provide essential maternity leave coverage, working 37.5 hours per week until January 31, 2027. You'll work as an itinerant OT supporting multiple educational sites, offering your expertise where it matters most.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong background in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, as well as familiarity with a variety of school settings. Your knowledge and skill set will be pivotal in empowering students to achieve their highest level of participation in school activities.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and current North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (please submit proof with application).
• Experience with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System) required.
• Previous work as an OT in school environments; adaptable to serving multiple campuses.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with teachers, parents, and school teams.
• Able to travel and manage a caseload across different locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized OT assessments and interventions aligned with students' educational needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP/multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise with staff and families.
• Maintain and document accurate student records in accordance with district and federal guidelines.
• Support classroom modifications, adaptive equipment recommendations, and student skill development across grade levels.
