The VP of Specialty Oncology role serves as the Franchise Leader for NavDx across Head & Neck, GI, and Gynecologic cancers, with full accountability for strategy, brand marketing, market shaping, and pipeline. This leader owns the commercial and medical education ecosystem for NavDx, driving adoption, clinical integration, and long-term franchise value, while orchestrating upstream marketing (product lifecycle management, indication expansion), downstream marketing (brand strategy, targeting, messaging, selling directions), Medical Education, KOL engagement. Core Accountabilities Franchise Strategy & P&L Ownership Own the integrated franchise strategy across HPV-driven cancers aligned to long-term growth Accountable for volume, revenue, and market share performance Translate clinical evidence and market insights into strategic priorities and investments Shape lifecycle expansion, new indications, and guideline inclusion strategies Market Shaping & Disease Leadership Lead market shaping strategies to redefine standards of care in surveillance and MRD monitoring Partner with Medical Affairs to develop evidence generation and publication strategy that supports guideline inclusion, clinical adoption and payer coverage Establish NavDx as the reference standard across academic and community settings Upstream Marketing Leadership Lead indication strategy, value proposition, and positioning by tumor type Align evidence generation priorities with Medical Affairs and R&D Ensure strategy is grounded in unmet clinical need and differentiated value Downstream Marketing & Activation Lead downstream marketing teams responsible for campaigns, congress strategy, and field enablement Ensure translation of strategy into field-ready programs that accelerate adoption Medical Education Leadership & Thought Leader Engagement Provide strategic leadership to Medical Education teams Ensure compliant, high-impact engagement with multidisciplinary care teams and thought leaders Field Team Direction Translate franchise strategy into field team priorities and targeting Partner with Sales, Training & Operations to ensure world-class sales execution and management cadence Partner with Operations and Finance to deliver forecasting, demand planning, and performance insights Cross-Functional Leadership Act as single point of accountability for franchise alignment across functions Drive disciplined execution through data-driven decision making Represent the franchise in executive and strategic planning forums Qualifications & Experience Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD) 12+ years in oncology, molecular diagnostics, or biopharma Proven franchise or portfolio leadership experience inclusive of brand marketing/management leadership Deep experience across upstream/downstream marketing and medical collaboration Strong matrix leadership and influence skills Led multiple product/indication launches as a Commercial lead Extensive experience developing and leading Market Shaping activities Extensive experience working with Medical Affairs on clinical trials, evidence generation and publications Leadership Characteristics Enterprise mindset with full accountability Strategic clarity combined with operational rigor Collaborative leader with credibility across Sales and Medical High integrity with strong compliance orientation Additional Details: Every individual at CareDx has a direct impact on our collective mission to improve the lives of organ transplant patients worldwide. This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Brisbane, California.
