Software Engineer Sr - Contractor

Job Title

Roles and Responsibilities: Day 1 / Immediate Responsibilities

• Build and configure virtual services in Broadcom DevTest based on incoming requests and defined requirements
• Analyze service dependencies and translate requirements into functional virtual service models
• Perform basic validation and ensure services meet performance and reliability expectations

Ongoing / Frequent Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine service virtualization use cases and improve implementations
• Provide end-user guidance on when and how to leverage service virtualization effectively
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within DevTest environments

As Work Progresses / Advanced Responsibilities

• Engage with Broadcom vendor support to address complex technical issues or product limitations
• Enhance and optimize virtual services through custom scripting and automation
• Contribute to best practices, documentation, and scaling adoption across teams

Must Have Technical Skills

Years of experience: 5-8 yrs

• Broadcom DevTest (v10.9.x or similar)
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining virtual services
• Strong understanding of service virtualization concepts
• Windows Server (2019 / 2022)
• Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting environments
• Custom Scripting (Java, JavaScript)
• Ability to extend DevTest functionality and automate service behavior

Flex Skills/Nice to Have

• OpenShift
• Familiarity with containerized environments and deployment pipelines

• Effectively gather and clarify technical and business requirements
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders
