Make a significant impact as an elementary resource room educator, where you'll craft specialized instruction and support for students utilizing your expertise in special education. Located at a vibrant elementary campus near Eden Prairie, MN, this full-time, on-site contract position spans from August 31, 2026, through June 9, 2027. You'll serve a dynamic, multi-grade caseload of up to 22 students, collaborating with professionals and families to foster academic, social, and behavioral growth in alignment with individualized education program (IEP) goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota special education teaching license is required
- Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
- Strength in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with peers, families, and service providers
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Role Highlights:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to elementary students within the resource room setting
- Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers to integrate supports
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant IEP documentation
- Regularly communicate progress with students’ families and school-based teams
- Implement behavior intervention strategies as necessary
- Adapt instruction based on ongoing assessment and student needs
