Quality Manager

Position Overview Our quality control managers have overall quality responsibility for assigned projects and are responsible for quality and commissioning direction through subordinate QA/QC assistant managers and QA/QC inspectors. This position supervises the work of others including assistant quality control managers. Duties/Responsibilities: Assists in creating company standards for quality and commissioning procedures, including written programs and procedures. Assists in developing quality control and commissioning programs. Supervises activities of QA/QC personnel on assigned projects. Assists in training/orientation of employees. Assists in the employment process. Assists in scheduling functions as required. Assists in personnel assignments. Trains assistant superintendents in some QA/QC facets. Manages QA/QC and commissioning protocols on assigned projects. Manages building envelope commissioning processes. Develops and trains QA/QC workforce. Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Performs other duties and services to ensure projects are delivered successfully and client is satisfied. Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality. Education and Training Four-year degree in construction, engineering or related field. Minimum 15 years construction experience with 10 years in field as a builder on large, complex projects. Experience with healthcare, higher education, and/or laboratory projects with a commercial general contractor preferred. Must be a qualified commissioning process provider. Extensive experience in the management of large construction projects with significant self-performance. Extensive knowledge of means and methods - significant emphasis on MEP work. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience. Knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations.
